1. Where are you located?

We are located in Waldorf, MD.  We service the entire District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia area and areas surrounding.

 

 

2. Do you ship items?

Yes we do.  Most of our Baked Perfections are available for shipping throughout the contiguous U.S.    However, we do not ship decorated cakes and cupcakes.

3. When will I receive my package?

At this moment we only ship with USPS Priority and Express Mail Monday through Thursday, so your goodies don't sit in a truck or warehouse over the weekend. If you are ordering during the warmer months (May-September) we recommend Express Mail shipping.  Please allow 2-3 days for your package to arrive once it is shipped with Priority Mail. Express Mail arrives next day by noon to most contiguous US. We ship in boxes with extra protection to make sure our products arrive at their destination safe and sound, but make no guarantees about what happens once packages leave our hands.  You will receive a tracking number when your goodies have shipped to stay posted on their whereabouts.

4. Do you allow pick-ups?  Do you offer delivery?

Yes we do pick-ups.  If you are picking up your order please be on-time, this allows us to keep our schedule.  Additionally if you decide to pick up your order be advised, Key to Perfections Bakes is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any damage while in transit.

 

Yes we offer delivery of decorated occasion and wedding cakes and cupcakes.  Deliveries are taken on a first come, first served basis when available and must be arranged with a practical concern for the delivered product. Our delivery personnel are renowned for their promptness and ability to care for each cake, therefore we reserve the right to make delivery decisions based on our experience of what is best for the cake. Our delivery charges are based on difficulty and distance from the bakery. If no one is at the site at the time of delivery or if we cannot gain entry into the building, we will return the cake to the bakery and delivery fee will be forfeited. The responsibility for the delivery will become yours. Please take the time to confirm the time of delivery with the event site to avoid this timely and costly situation.  For inquires about pricing contact us.

5. When do I make a payment?

Orders totaling less than $100.00 and shipped orders require full payment upon order placement.  Custom cake, wedding cake and cupcake orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit due to the prep work that goes into custom designs for these items.  The remaining balance is due seven (7) days prior to event date.  Your deposit guarantees your place on our schedule and allows time to receive any items requiring special ordering.  Custom cake, wedding cake and cupcake orders will not be put on our schedule and production will not begin without the deposit.     Deposits for custom cakes and cupcakes are due 14 days prior to event date.  Wedding cake deposits are due at least 6 weeks prior to event date with the final balance due 14 days prior to event date.  ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

6. How soon do I need to place my order?

Custom cake and cupcakes orders need to be placed 14 days prior to event date.  Wedding cakes need to be ordered 6 weeks prior to event date.  All other baked goods need to be ordered at least five (5) days prior to date needed.

7. Do you offer cake tastings?

Yes we do cake tastings for wedding clients, however there is a fee.  While we do not offering cake tastings for other event cakes we do offer a Sweet Tooth Box.  For more information about the sweet tooth box contact us.
